Java Knights academy, powered by BULPROS, which started in February 2020 continues to introduce its students to the depths of Java knowledge. Despite the unusual situation caused by the announced state of emergency in response to the coronavirus outbreak, the academy continues its daily educational session. Both theoretical and practical lessons are led online by the lecturers.
After more than a month of classes, the attendees of the academy show deeper skills understanding of Java and handle simple programming tasks on their own. Martin Toshev – the main lecturer of the Java Knights academy, as well as all the other lecturers, is deeply involved in sharing his knowledge and skills, giving many examples from his broad experience and showing/demonstrating the best and proven methods and techniques of Java.
“The fact that we have a lot of practical tasks makes it much easier to understand the lessons. I like being able to discuss the tasks with other colleagues and having access to additional presentations, also helps me learn easier and faster.”, said Antonina Kyoseva (one of the students) in the Feedback form after the first month. ”The biggest advantage for me is that we are a small group. Thus, each of us is given much more individual attention. Also, when we are fewer people, bonding is much easier. I can say that we are definitely already feeling the cohesion of the group.”
Another student, Veselin Stanchev says he has learned so much within just a month. He believes that theoretical and practical lessons/sessions are well balanced and complement each other well, so he can really understand the lectures and fulfill the tasks. His colleague Zhelyazko Dimitrov finds the course of learning “intensive, useful and pleasant”. He likes his colleagues and the feeling of being part of a real software company.
Emiliyan Stoilov finds that the biggest advantage of the Academy is “the personal contact with people as most valuable and the ability to discuss and ask questions any time, whether within the group of students or the team of highly-professional lecturers”. To him so far the academy is ”the best place to go for a person who wants to have a very good start of the career”. Emiliyan and his colleague Hristo Harakchiyski both agree that studying in the Academy is very dynamic and challenging, but Martin Toshev and the other lecturers, make the process of learning very smooth and interesting.
The lecturers have prepared many other educational and challenging activities for the students. Within the next five months, the attendees will turn from students with technical background into Java experts, prepared to start their career in the field.

About Java Knights Academy
The annual Java Knights event, powered by BULPROS, became the inspiration to create the Java Knights Academy as the next step to а deeper understanding of Java. The event brings together Java experts and enthusiast, giving them a chance to share their experience on latest projects and case studies. The number of attendees from universities at the event, interested in starting their career in the company, was the main inspiration for starting an educational program for young talents to learn and practice new skills in a 6-month Academy. After a successful graduation, the students will have enough expertise to develop a successful career as Java Knights.
